NEWSFLASH: We re-opened April 1 for the 2013 season! We're not sure what happened to Spring, but once the snow is gone for good, we'll be thankful. This last dump we got has confused the heck out of our birds and US! It's May, for crying out loud! WALK THE DOG!  Our lovely French miniature poodle, named Lena (a Norwegian French poodle????) loves people and is thrilled to go for a walk with you! So if you decide to head out for an early morning stroll or roam the streets at any time, feel free to take her with you. She'll help you keep up your pace.  She loves it!

YOUR HOSTESS, NANCY, IS NOW A PUBLISHED AUTHOR! Yes, her children's picture book is selling like hotcakes! Does a Zebra Know It's Striped? is perfect for pre-school age all the way up to eight years old, and is a visual delight. AND NOW (drum roll, please), her book about the Habberstad is getting ready to go to press! Behind the Door Marked Private: Confessions of a Small Town Bed and Breakfast Owner is due out in late May or early June. Stay tuned!

The 2012 Lanesboro Christmas Inn Tour was held once again here in Lanesboro on Sunday, December 2. The 2013 Lanesboro Inn Tour will be held Sunday, December 8. The 2012 tour was a huge success, with 471 tickets sold to those who wanted to see the participating lodging offerings in Lanesboro, all decked out for the holidays. Our home was decorated outside with fresh garland, wreaths and red bows, and featured our Christmas tree lit up on the front porch, complete with hand-crocheted ornaments. We had live musicians playing Christmas music while guests toured throughout the house.
